On grey paper, signed 'Bayens' (lower left); framed under passe-partout behind glass by Paul Gehring. Unexamined out of the frame, pinholes in the upper left corner, apparently in very good condition.
Notes: Thérèse Cornips was a well-known Dutch translator and a 'Chevalier de l'Ordre des Palmes académiques' since 1982. Her life's work was the Dutch translation of Proust's masterpiece 'A la recherche du temp perdu', which won her the Martinus Nijhoff Prize in 1990.
