Signed and dated 'C Springer 75' (lower left); and authenticated and inscribed with title and dated again 'Ondergeteekende verklaart dat deze schilderij, voorstel - lende, Gezicht in de Wester- straat te Enkhuyzen door hem is vervaardigd Amsterdam 14 January 1875 C Springer' (on a label attached to the reverse) and with the artist's seals. Painted in 1875.
