Venema, De Bergense School, Baarn 1976, p. 168 CATALOGUE NOTE: This is one of the few religious works that Else Berg made. She painted such pieces approximately until 1920. This work, titled Composition no. 2, was exhibited at the Gallery Walrecht in The Hague in 1918. A review from this exposition mentions this painting and the author admires it for its soft use of colour and the harmony in the composition and finishes his praise with: ‘if Else Berg continuous to work in this line, we can expect a lot from her’.Details
