Beschrijving
With integral base, conceived in 1953 and cast later by Bronsgieterij Hans Steylaert in the edition of 30 by Kunstcentrum Zaanstad. Some surface grime to the back of the left leg, in very good condition. Provenance: Private collection; Kunstcentrum Zaanstad via Hetty Tjalkens, 2004.
Notes: Kunstcentrum Zaanstad was given the privilege by the artist and writer Jan Wolkers to have the sculpture (1953) cast in bronze. A larger version of this sculpture in bronze, commissioned in by the municipality, can be found in Leiden.
