On black paper, monogrammed in pencil 'AvdV' (lower right); framed under passe-partout behind glass (frame sl. damaged, glass stained on the inside). Unexamined out of the frame, apparently in good condition. Dimensions: frame size 71 x 55 cm.
Notes: André van der Vossen started his artistic career as a graphic designer. From the 1930s on he focused on painting and changed his style to abstract around 1947. Van der Vossen was particularly influenced by Wassily Kandinsky (1866 - 1944) and Paul Klee (1879 - 1940).
