Plastic shopping bag printed on both sides containing 2 posters, 10 informational sheets, an issue of Volksabstimmung as well as a blank felt sheet, from an edition of 10.000 copies, published by Galerie Art Intermedia, Cologne; framed between two plexiglass plates. Contents slightly worn and creased, else in very good condition.
Literature: Pinakotek Beuys Multiples, bit.ly/3kHJgeb. Notes: The sides are illustrated with a diagram 'Ein Vergleich zweier Gesellschaftsformen' by Karl Fastabend and a scheme 'So kann die Parteiendiktatur überwunden werden' by Joseph Beuys respectively. The texts discuss the main principles of the 'Organisation for Direct Democracy through Referendum' founded by Beuys. The bag was used by Joseph Beuys in several performances.
