Signed 'Kentridge' (lower right), 126,5x166 cm incl. frame. Executed in 1999.
The present work was created for the film "Sleeping on Glass" in 1999. The film was produced for a particular room at the Villa Medici in Rome in the same year. It was made to be projected in the mirror of a chest of drawers with rounded corners - comparable to the shape of the lighter areas of the drawing. The film was edited by Catherine Meyburgh, with music by Monteverdi and sound design by Wilbert Schübel.
